After School Programs Offer Vital Kids Link
For many decades now, the nation's after school programs have stood as the answer for providing a safe, secure place for kids to stay, study, play and learn after the school day ends. Between the hours of 3 and 6 in cities, towns, and small communities across the country, kids gather at these safe havens offered through the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the YMCA, Community Parks & Recreation Departments, and privately based programs.

Working together, the after school programs, first responders and iHalt have a tremendous opportunity to change negative perceptions, and spoil the seeds of hostility and disdain for police and other authority figures before they have a chance to spiral out of control.

Together these organizations, public servants, and iHalt can make a profoundly powerful difference in the lives of children and youth, first responders, and America's communities and neighborhoods.
